This policy explains how My Clip ("the Service") collects, uses and stores information when you use the site. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. What we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Google account details when you sign in, such as your name, email address and profile photo.
- An anonymous user ID and an email address you enter to receive your video, updates or a reply to a message.
- Photos and media you upload to create a video.
- Details of creation requests: style, aspect ratio, processing status and task IDs.
- Usage and analytics data (for example in-app usage events) to improve the Service.
2. Why we use information
We use information to:
- Verify identity and manage a user account or anonymous access.
- Process photos, create videos and make them available to you.
- Provide support, secure the Service and prevent abuse.
- Improve the product and understand how the Service is used.
3. Storage and providers
The Service runs on Google Firebase infrastructure, including Authentication, Storage, Firestore and Analytics. Information is stored and processed through these providers according to the Service's settings and the providers' policies.
To process payments we use payment providers, including Hyp and PayPal, which handle payment details under their own privacy policies.
4. Retention
We keep uploaded photos, request metadata and created videos for as long as needed to run the Service, show your video history, keep things secure and meet legal obligations. Old or temporary data may be deleted as part of routine maintenance.
5. Sharing with third parties
To create videos, we pass the relevant content (such as photos you uploaded) to the AI processing providers needed to run the Service. We do not sell personal information to third parties. We may share information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
6. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask for information about your data or ask us to delete your account and related content. Send a request through our contact page. We may ask you to verify your identity before handling the request.
7. Minors
If you upload photos of minors, it is your responsibility to make sure you have proper consent from a parent or guardian. Use such photos only if you are a parent, a guardian, or someone with explicit consent to do so.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continuing to use the Service after an update is published means you accept the updated policy. We recommend checking this page now and then.
